It’s almost 3 a.m and I’m snuggled up in my sheets reflecting on how this year has been. I’ll start on how much Re Basadi has grown and move onto why this year has been both challenging and rewarding all in one.

Let’s get into it.

As many of you might know (or might not), I started Re Basadi from the ground up, it started off as an idea and has grown into something so beautiful, something I never imagined I’d witness. One thing that I always shy away from is giving myself credit but throughout this year, I’ve learnt to appreciate myself and the effort I’ve put into building this beautiful movement. It all started in my hometown and we’re proud to announce that it will be expanding to Durban, Cape Town and Namibia (obviously we are coming for the world but baby steps.) There’s been so many times this year when I thought that t would all be impossible and not because of the fact that resources are a little difficult to come around but because believing in yourself is something I think a lot of us struggle with…. we’re getting over this and 2018 is the year we believe it’s all possible and put our ALL in all we do!

I’ve been reflecting on everything I’ve managed to accomplish this year and I’m proud of how far I’ve come… I’ve had to deal with a lot of things, unlearn a lot of habits and most importantly I’ve connected with so many people who’ve impacted my life positively and continue to do so.

What I’ve accomplished with Re Basadi

  • Launch Re Basadi in Johannesburg at J&B Hive
  • Featured on Mzansi Insider for a segment on Young Women empowerment.

Second event in Joburg which was a sleepover at Horses Neck Lodge. Consisted of amazing conversations between young women in business.

•Partnering with J&B Hive to host monthly sessions for women in business.

And many more personal achievements and achievements with Re Basadi.

We have a tendency of not crediting ourselves because the end goal is financial freedom and we all see a bigger version of our idea but the truth is the work speaks for itself and we will get there eventually…. soon.

There’s so much greatness that has been wrapped up in this year alone and to focus on just the negativity would be a sin… which is something I’ve recently discovered after listening to a podcast on Imposter Syndrome. There’s so much to appreciate about 2017 and I urge you… (yes you reading this), be grateful for all 2017 has brought into your life…
